• What therapeutic approaches do you use?
I use an integrative, trauma-informed approach. My work is grounded in schema therapy and mindfulness-based methods. Techniques are selected based on the topic and the client’s needs.
• How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy can be helpful when you’re dealing with stress, low mood, anxiety, burnout, or relationship difficulties. It can also support personal development and decision-making in complex situations. If you’re unsure whether it’s right for you, we can talk about it during the free consultation.
• What kinds of issues do you work with?
I work with adults (18+) dealing with low self-esteem, anxiety, burnout, relationship difficulties, chronic stress, low or unstable mood, and life transitions. If you’re unsure whether your topic fits, feel free to reach out and we will discuss what I can do for you.
At this time, I do not work with:
• children or adolescents,
• clients in acute psychiatric crisis or active suicidal states,
• individuals with psychotic symptoms or in need of diagnostic assessment and/or medication management.
If your needs fall outside my scope, I will do my best to help you find a better-fitting referral.
• Do you give advice?
I don’t give advice in the traditional sense - I won’t tell you what to do. Instead, I’ll help you look at your situation more clearly, explore your options, and figure out what makes sense for you.
• What happens if I get emotional during a session?
That’s completely okay. Emotions are a natural part of the process, I will hold space for whatever comes up, and we’ll work with it at your pace.
• What is breathwork?
Breathwork is a guided practice that uses structured breathing to support the nervous system, reduce stress, and release physical and emotional tension. In a session, you’ll be guided through a specific breathing rhythm set to music. I use voice cues, pacing, and occasional imagery to help you stay with the process. The breathing is active, but not forced - followed by rest and time to integrate.
Many people describe feeling calmer, clearer, or more present afterward.
Over time, breathwork can support stress regulation, emotional awareness, and a stronger connection to how you feel.
• Is breathwork a form of therapy?
No - breathwork is not a form of therapy. It can support emotional regulation and awareness, but it doesn’t replace the depth or continuity of therapeutic work. Sometimes, the practice can bring up strong feelings or memories. If you’re currently in therapy, it may be helpful to share those experiences with your therapist as part of your ongoing process.
• Are there any contraindications?
Breathwork is not recommended during pregnancy, or if you have breathing difficulties, epilepsy, uncontrolled high blood pressure, serious heart conditions, or certain psychiatric diagnoses such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.
If you’re unsure whether it’s suitable for you, feel free to reach out or check with your doctor. We’ll go over any relevant health details before your first session.
• What should I expect during a session?
A typical breathwork session lasts about 60 minutes and takes place online. We start with a short check-in and explanation of the process. Then you’ll be guided through a specific breathing rhythm set to music, followed by a period of rest and integration. The breathing is active but not forced, and I’ll be guiding you throughout with cues and pacing. People often notice changes in body sensations, emotions, or thoughts - such as feeling lighter, calmer, more focused, or sometimes more emotional or tired. This is a normal part of the process, and we allow time to rest and integrate what came up. We will also address the process in more detail when setting up the session and during the intro.
• What do I need to prepare?
Find a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed for the duration of the session. You can lie down or sit comfortably - laying down is recommended. Have a blanket, something to cover your eyes (like a sleep mask or t-shirt), and a glass of water nearby. Headphones can help you stay more connected to the guidance and music. That’s all you need - I’ll guide you through the rest.
• How long is a session?

Individual breathwork sessions are 60 minutes.

After we schedule, I’ll send you a consent form and a basic agreement outlining how we’ll work together.

• How often should I come to therapy?
Most people start with weekly sessions.
We can always adjust the rhythm based on your needs and what’s going on in your life.
• Can I do both therapy and breathwork?

We can combine therapy and breathwork into one process, or keep them separate depending on your needs.
If you’re already working with another therapist, breathwork can still be a helpful complement. You’re always welcome here.
